Planting Trees
“A Tree for Life” is our manufacturing partner’s dedication to nurture a sustainable future, while reducing our carbon footprint. Through this initiative, we pledge to plant trees abundantly, not just for today, but for the health of our planet tomorrow. By partnering with local communities, employing eco-friendly practices, and advocating for responsible forestry, we aim to replenish forests and promote biodiversity with the aim of planting 50,000 plants by year 2025.
Regenerative Farming Practices
Our purpose at HVA Ceylon is clear: to lead by example in the pursuit of sustainability across our entire supply chain. We actively pursue greener practices. Our dedication to sustainability not only validates our commitment but also sets a new industry standard. By partnering with our producers to transition towards regenerative methods in coconut farming, we contribute to soil health, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration. We help to prioritize minimized soil disturbance, vegetation cover, rotational grazing, and avoid synthetic inputs by initiating and practicing.
Conversion to Renewable Energy - Solar Powered Production Facilities
Our partner Kandetiya Agro has taken steps towards implementing renewable energy in the production facilities. Conversion to Solar Power has aimed at making our production process greener and more dependable. The solar panels installed in the processing plants, cutting down on the need for traditional electricity. This is also a way of ensuring to deliver the goods, sustainably and consistently without any interruptions. Our commitment is to compensate for a 25% electricity requirement at the production facilities by the year 2025.
